West Alabama man known for award winning ‘S-Town’ podcast shot by police

A popular podcaster was shot by police Sunday after allegedly “brandishing” a gun during a standoff. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the fatal officer-involved shooting. According to the Woodstock Police Department, Joseph Tyler Goodson barricaded himself inside a home resulting in a standoff around midnight. At some point during the standoff, Goodson reportedly “brandished” a gun at police and as a result was shot and killed.
