Tuberville continues call to fire Fed Chairman Jerome Powell

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) has said multiple times in the past week that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell should lose his job after the latter decided not to lower interest rates. The senator hasn’t been happy with the chairman since he announced Wednesday that rates would remain between 4.25% and 4.5%. Tuberville believes interest rates should be lowered because the economy is currently in good shape and inflation has remained steady.
