A California mother has been found guilty of murder after her 2-year-old daughter drowned in a pool while she was busy talking on the phone to men she’d matched with on a dating app.
The Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Kelle Anne Brassart was convicted of second-degree murder and child neglect stemming from the death of her daughter Daniellé Pires in September 2025.
Prosecutors said that police officers responded to a Turlock, California, home on September 12, 2025, around 3:30 p.m. after they received a report of an unresponsive child in a swimming pool.
