Two young hockey players from Hinton, Alberta, were killed Monday night, February 23, when their pickup truck collided with a semi-trailer on Highway 16, sending shockwaves through a small town where both were beloved athletes and students weeks from graduation.
Kayla Peacock, 17, and Danica Hills, 18, died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about six miles east of the Jasper townsite, according to RCMP.
