Horror comedies are one of our favorite genre mashups, even if there aren’t as many of them as we’d like. That may be because not all of the funny horror films can be as successful as Scream 7. The horror comedy Abigail had the directors and star of Scream and still only made $43 million. Similarly, the British horror comedy Get Away was largely ignored during its release in 2024. It deserved a much better reception.
