Yaffee: Republicans should unite behind Tuberville

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville got some much needed support from a group of House Republicans this week who wrote a letter to the senator saying they stand with him on the military holds. Tuberville (R-Auburn) has maintained procedural holds on unanimous consent of military promotions over the Department of Defense’s policy of paying for travel expenses for members of the military seeking an abortion. “We write to express our deep gratitude and support for your courageous leadership in the fight to preserve and protect the precious lives of unborn children and their mothers,” the lawmakers wrote.
