The University of Michigan has named Francis “Biff” Poggi as interim head football coach after Sherrone Moore’s firing and subsequent arrest. Michigan announced in December 2025 that Moore was fired as coach after an investigation found him having an “inappropriate relationship with a staff member.” After news broke of his firing, Moore was arrested. He was accused of after barging into the apartment of the alleged woman he was involved with. Poggi was subsequently named as Moore’s replacement.
