UPDATE — 12/11/25, 9:05 a.m. ET: Former University of Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore was taken into police custody for an alleged assault shortly before news of his firing was announced.  Moore, 39, was detained by authorities just minutes before the university announced his termination on Wednesday, December 10, according to a police press release.
