LAKE CHARLES, La. (TCD) -- Deputies arrested a 47-year-old man this week on suspicion of killing his girlfriend's son and their family dog. On Monday, Jan. 1, at around 4:30 a.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a woman at a local hospital suffering from severe injuries. Investigators learned the woman's boyfriend, Derik Rayborn, allegedly killed her son and a dog at their home off Highway 90 East.
