Louisiana man allegedly killed girlfriend's son while he tried to stop him from hurting his mom

LAKE CHARLES, La. (TCD) -- Deputies arrested a 47-year-old man this week on suspicion of killing his girlfriend's son and their family dog. On Monday, Jan. 1, at around 4:30 a.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a woman at a local hospital suffering from severe injuries. Investigators learned the woman's boyfriend, Derik Rayborn, allegedly killed her son and a dog at their home off Highway 90 East. The woman reportedly told deputies she escaped the residence and went to the hospital for medical care. The sheriff's office responded to the home
