The specific details of New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo’s season-ending injury have been revealed.
Skattebo, 23, suffered an open tibia fracture and ruptured deltoid ligament in addition to a right ankle dislocation, according to ESPN.
The open fracture means Skattebo’s bone penetrated the skin, meaning he needed emergency surgery. Skattebo was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he immediately underwent the procedure.
