I didn’t want or expect much from the Azure Hotel and Art Studio. My stay here was more means to an end than the usual idyllic Caribbean escape. I was, you see, merely transiting through St. Maarten. Getting to my true destination, St. Eustatius, required an overnight, preferably close to SXM Airport. A random online search brought me to Azure for my one-night stand.
