Woman Killed Boyfriend in Front of Her Child, 3, After He Made Her Move Out
A South Carolina woman was sentenced to prison time after she shot and killed her boyfriend in front of her 3-year-old son after he made her move out of his apartment. Zaria Aiyanna Owens was found guilty on Thursday, July 16, on counts of voluntary manslaughter and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime over the August 2023 death of Tyquirez Rashad Sims. After the jury found her guilty, Owens, 25, was sentenced to serve 21 years in prison on the voluntary manslaughter charge.
