Update 2/24/26 at 10:26 a.m. — Former WNBA star Kara Braxton died in a single-car accident in Georgia, Cobb County Police confirmed to USA Today. She was 43.
The accident occurred Saturday, February 21 at approximately 5:13 p.m. when Braxton “failed to maintain her lane” and “collided with the concrete median wall,” according to a report obtained by the outlet.
Braxton, a College Park, Georgia resident, was transported to a Marietta hospital where she was pronounced dead.
