Mother Sentenced to Life in Prison After Abuse Case in Her Toddler's Death
A mother in Alabama was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to the abuse that led to the death of her 1-year-old son in 2024. Prosecutors accused Wendy Pamela Jean Bailey of knowing that the child’s father, Steven Collins, abused their son, Kahleb, and she never intervened or reported it.
