Evergreen Fresh Sprouts LLC on Thursday announced that it's recalling over 200 cases of broccoli sprouts over concerns that they may be contaminated with salmonella, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).Evergreen said that it's recalling 215 cases of broccoli sprouts, each of which includes six four-ounce bags per case, because of the risk of salmonella contamination.Salmonella is a foodborne illness that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, as well as those who have weakened immune systems.The recalled broccoli sprouts wer...
