Target is set to open eight new stores this fall, bringing its total store openings for 2026 to 32 as the retailer works toward opening more than 300 locations by 2035.The new stores will open in Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia, following the 24 locations Target has already opened this year.The openings are part of Target's $5 billion capital investment plan for 2026, which also includes more than 130 store remodels and additional investment in employee pay and training.
