Nearly 30,000 pounds of raw beef recalled over missed import inspection

Nearly 30,000 pounds of imported raw beef from South America have been recalled in two states over the failure to reinspect the product after arriving in the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).Florida-based Corte Argentino USA LLC is recalling about 29,628 pounds of raw beef products that were imported from Argentina "without the benefit of import reinspection into the United States," which checks documentation, labeling, packaging, the product’s general condition and sometimes samples for contaminants, FSIS announced on Friday.Aft...
