OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (TCD) -- Investigators discovered the remains of a missing woman this week and apprehended a 35-year-old man on suspicion of killing her and disposing of her body in North Carolina. On Friday, Dec. 15, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on North Lake Drive to perform a welfare check on Dustin Turpin after he allegedly "made comments that he had killed an adult female." Once there, deputies observed Turpin in possession of a firearm, but they said there was no evidence of a crime. Turpin was transported to a hospital for further evaluation....
