'Notorious' sex offender featured in 'American Nightmare' sentenced in 1993 kidnapping, sexual assault

(TCN) -- A 48-year-old "notorious" sex offender who was featured in a Netflix documentary series will spend time behind bars for abducting and sexually assaulting a woman over three decades ago. The Sacramento County District Attorney's Office announced that Matthew Muller pleaded guilty on June 18 in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault he committed in Folsom in 1993.
