PLACERVILLE, Calif. (TCD) -- A judge sentenced a father to the maximum possible punishment for killing his 11-year-old child in 2020 and leaving the child’s body in a storage bin in their basement. On Jan. 4, Jordan Piper was given 15 years to life in prison in connection with the death of his son, Roman Lopez, the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office announced.
