18-year-old Georgia pageant queen accused of killing toddler

DONALSONVILLE, Ga. (TCD) -- An 18-year-old reigning beauty queen was arrested on suspicion of murder and other charges after an 18-month-old child died. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), on Jan. 14, the Georgia Southwestern State University Police Department contacted the GBI for assistance in investigating a child’s death. Investigators learned the child was transported to Phoebe Sumter Hospital for medical assistance but later died. The GBI did not disclose what types of injuries the child had sustained.
