LOS ANGELES (TCN) -- A 34-year-old mother and her 33-year-old boyfriend were recently convicted in connection with the abuse, torture, and killing of a young girl several years ago. A Los Angeles County jury found Ida Brockman and her boyfriend, Malachi Whalen, guilty on July 2 of the torture and murder of Brockman’s 7-year-old daughter, A’Miya D., at their home in Hawthorne. Brockman was also convicted of one count of child abuse causing death, while Whalen was found guilty of one count of assault on a child causing death.
