Ahead of the January 15th caucus in Iowa, former President Donald Trump visited Waterloo to warm up a crowd of supporters. He said wishing others a ‘Merry Christmas’ used to be an instinctive reaction around the holidays.
Ever since what he dubs a “War on Christmas” began, it hasn’t been so common.
In 2021, Trump said that around the time he announced his presidential bid in 2015, the country had started going a little “woke” towards Christmas.
