State Senate District 9 special election qualifying now open

Qualifying for the Alabama Republican Party Special Election Primary in Senate District 9 officially opened this morning. The seat opened up once former Senate Majority Leader Clay Scofield stepped down to take the position of executive vice president of the Business Council of Alabama (BCA). District 9 consists of areas of Blount, Marshall, and Madison counties.
