New homeowners discover human head and hands inside freezer

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (TCD) -- Law enforcement officials are investigating a homicide after new homeowners discovered severed body parts inside their freezer recently. On Jan. 14, Mesa County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the 2900 block of Pinyon Avenue after new residents at the address were cleaning out some items and found human remains. In an update, the sheriff's office said the medical examiner conducted an autopsy and "confirmed the human remains found at the address on Pinyon Avenue on January 12, 2024, are a human head and human hands."
