Missing Vermont woman found dead in container in Vermont park

UPDATE (Feb. 8, 2024) -- Vermont State Police announced the medical examiner's office conducted an autopsy on the victim found inside the container and positively identified her as Kayla Wright, who has been missing since Feb. 2. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and manner of death is homicide. Investigators executed a search warrant at a home but said no one has been taken into custody yet. TROY, Vt.
