Missing person found wrapped in blanket, stuffed inside chimney

MACON, Ga. (TCD) -- Deputies recently found the decomposing body of a missing 43-year-old man wrapped in a blanket and stuffed inside a chimney of a home he was renting. According to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release, Anthony Rumplik was last seen on Dec. 28, 2023, near the 2200 block of Courtland Avenue. His family said he suffered from schizophrenia and renal failure. On Friday, Jan. 19, shortly after 9 p.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to his home in the 1000 block of Courtland Avenue, and the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department was also called to
