Is Alabama lagging behind others in NIL?

The retirement of legendary Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has brought up a ton of questions. While Saban himself has said that Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and the transfer portal did not impact his decision to walk away — one can’t help but wonder where Alabama stacks up against other schools when it comes to NIL. After Alabama’s Rose Bowl loss, the social media account of the school’s NIL collective Yea Alabama put out a video soliciting donations and saying that fans need to take their “bitter disappointment and use it for good in NIL.” Now is not the time to rest.
