Brothers in crime: Murder-for-hire plot ends in life sentence for siblings

An Alabama man and his brother were given matching life sentences in federal prison by a Montgomery judge Thursday. Jason Starr of Coffee Springs and his brother Darin Starr were convicted for carrying out a murder-for-hire-plot that resulted in the shooting death of Jason Starr’s ex-wife Sara Starr, a mother of four. Starr was reportedly angry with the amount of money she was awarded after their contentious divorce, and hired his brother, Darin, to kill her.
