As the 2024 presidential election draws closer, many throughout the country are concerned that the years long influx of millions of illegal immigrants could effect and sway federal elections.
The concern is not unfounded given the recent rhetoric of Democratic federal legislators, who are advocating that non-American citizens have the right to vote.
Two Alabamians, Sen. Katie Britt and Rep. Gary Palmer, have introduced companion legislation, the Citizen Ballot Protection Act and H.R. 4316, that will codify the ability of states to require that an applicant provide proof of American citizenship
