Britt ‘not interested in funding pensions for the Ukrainian government’

Speaking to Dana Perino on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” this morning, U.S. Sen. Katie Britt said she doesn’t support using American taxpayer money to fund Ukrainian pensions. The supplemental request submitted by President Joe Biden to Congress would send $11.8 billion to Ukraine for non-war purposes, including the backstopping of the Ukrainian public pension system. Britt’s interview took place minutes before a scheduled hearing of the Senate Appropriations Committee regarding the supplemental request.
