Auburn awarded $18.4M grant to help middle-schoolers ‘GEAR UP’

Auburn University recently received a multimillion-dollar grant to help Alabama middle school students “get in gear” for education. The seven-year, $18.4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education will go toward the Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) Achieve initiative.
