800 pounds of trash collected by Red Mountain Cut Foundation volunteers

The Red Mountain Cut Foundation has been hard at work cleaning up trash from the side of Alabama Highway 280. Last weekend alone, they removed 800 pounds of it. This past Saturday, the organization hosted the “Friends of the Cut” litter pickup, along two miles of the heavily trafficked roadway that runs through the Cut in Red Mountain between Homewood and St. Vincent’s Hospital.
