The rum. The waterfalls. The scenery. The adventure. Guyana is finding a new place on travelers’ radar, and it’s showing up in the numbers.  
Guyana’s tourism industry continues its strong upward momentum, with the South American destination reporting an 18.3 percent increase in arrivals during the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year.
According to new data from the Guyana Tourism Authority, the country, which is the seat of the Caribbean Community, welcomed 202,027 visitors between January and June 2025, reflecting growing global interest in its eco-tourism offerings
