Sub-$1,000 apartments still available in select markets despite rent prices surging nationwide

Rent prices continue to surge in some markets. However, affordable options still exist in certain parts of the country, with some units going for under $1,000, according to a recent report from Zillow. In Zillow's recent analysis, published Thursday, apartments under $1,000 a month, while scarce, are easier to find in parts of the South and Midwest.
