Martinique is surging into the upper ranks of Caribbean cruise destinations. The French Caribbean island reported a nearly 11 percent increase in cruise arrivals for the 2024–2025 season, rising from about 421,000 to more than 465,000 embarking and disembarking passengers across more than 200 ship calls.
The growth underscores Martinique’s fast-rising appeal as both a homeport and transit stop, momentum that received another boost with MSC Cruises’ recent announcement that it will resume year-round operations on the island starting in 2027.
