Hugh Freeze plays a shocking amount of golf for an SEC head coach

Auburn Tigers head coach Hugh Freeze logged 11 rounds of golf in the first three weeks of June, which is stunningly high for a SEC coach balancing recruiting and on-field responsibilities. A piece of investigative journalism from AL(dot)com insider Matt Stahl took a look into the head coach’s golfing habits recently, and it turns out Freeze plays a whole lot more than one would think a college football head coach is actually able to do. With a USGA GHIN handicap rating of 7.4 meaning he is shooting in the low 80s and high 70s on a regular basis, Freeze is much better than the average golfer. I
