Former Chicago White Sox pitcher Bobby Jenks passed away at the age of 44. The two-time All-Star was fighting a battle with stomach cancer after being diagnosed with adenocarcinoma.
ESPN informed its following of the unfortunate news with a post on its social media outlets. It’s since received backlash for the wording of the message.
Bobby Jenks, a two-time All-Star pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, who was on the roster when the franchise won the 2005 World Series, died on Friday in Sintra, Portugal, the team announced.
