Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg is speaking out after her husband of 24 years, Barry Diller, publicly came out as gay. “What’s the difference? I don’t understand,” von Furstenberg, 78, told Variety in a Thursday, October 16, profile, when asked about being married to a gay man. “It doesn’t change anything. I’m sorry — it’s a stupid question. I married two gay men, OK? I don’t know why, but to me, they’re not gay, so it doesn’t make any difference.” The fashion icon has been married twice.
