Britt, Tuberville score huge investment in Alabama rural hospitals and protect Medicaid

After diligent work by U.S. Senators Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) and Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), the One Big Beautiful Bill Act contains major wins for rural health care in Alabama. The Senate amended the reconciliation legislation to create the Rural Health Transformation Program, a nationwide fund of $50 billion to be distributed across Fiscal Years 2026-2030.
