It’s now October, which usually means horror movie marathons and pumpkin spice lattes.
But for most streamers like Netflix and Prime Video, it means more of the same — an acclaimed drama (Netflix’s Steve) here and an action-thriller (Prime Video’s Play Dirty) there.
The one exception is HBO Max, which is kicking off its Halloween celebration with Bring Her Back, an excellent A24 movie from the directors of Talk to Me.
Other notable new movies to stream this weekend include comedy reboot The Naked Gun on Paramount+ and the inspiring drama The Lost Bus on Apple TV+.
